Local Just Transitions:
pilot programme

This Local Just Transitions pilot project was a partnership between Involve, Forum for the Future, Warwick and Stratford District Councils, and the Warwickshire and the West Midlands Association of Local Councils (WALC).

Part of the Local Climate Engagement programme, the project explored the hopes, aspirations, barriers and support needs towards a just transition in rural communities through the development of community-led rural visioning and action.

A just transition means that any actions should work toward a greener world and use methods that won’t generate or worsen inequalities nor create any not planned social, community or financial harm.
